Camp Randall Stadium Student-Athlete Performance Center receives Top Projects of 2013 award

The Daily Reporter selects University of Wisconsin’s new athletic hub as among year's best.

VOA is thrilled to announce that the Camp Randall Stadium Student-Athlete Performance Center on the north face of the stadium in Madison, WI was honored by The Daily Reporter newspaper with one of thirty Top Projects of 2013 awards. Representatives from VOA were on hand to accept the award at the Top Projects dinner May 14th at The Garage at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event honored the best in Wisconsin construction for the year.

Selected from more than 100 submissions by editors and publishers of the newspaper, projects were evaluated on criteria such as how well they demonstrated a commitment to sustainable construction, their positive impact on the surrounding area and innovation.

VOA team members on the project were Bill Ketcham, Mike Siegel, Clint Moewe, John Scherer, Monika Thadani, Al Migon and Eric Stanley.

VOA teamed with Berners-Schober Associates (BSA) of Green Bay on the design the new student-athlete hub for University of Wisconsin athletics. The facility encompasses over 250,000 square feet in new construction and connects two existing facilities, the McClain Field House and Camp Randall Stadium. The program includes strength and conditioning facilities, training room, lockers, equipment rooms and laundry as well as a prominent academic center.
