“The process was an opportunity for the designers to listen to our people.”

When Grant Thornton LLP, the world’s sixth largest accounting and advisory firm needed a space to wow guests, inspire employees, and promote collaboration, it turned to VOA, now Stantec, to create a unique space that reflected Grant Thornton’s corporate culture and values.

The five story fit-out houses executive suites, the Chicago practice office, and 17,000 SF conference center. A 30-ft atrium featuring dynamic video elements sets the tone for the workplace experience. A corporate color palette, strategically applied throughout, reinforces Grant Thornton’s global brand identity, while the LEED Gold certification target demonstrates the firm’s corporate social responsibility.

Completed in 2015, the 156,000 SF headquarters now enjoys a unique street presence – something that sets Grant Thornton LLP apart from the other downtown Chicago professional services firms.

In this video tour of the space Vince Tomkinson of Grant Thornton describes the company’s vision for its new headquarters and how the design team collaborated to produce results.
