Grant Thornton rated a Best Place to Work in Chicago

Crain’s cites workplace improvements in technology, collaboration space

There’s a buzz in the air about the new Chicago headquarters and practice office for Grant Thornton LLP, the world’s sixth largest accounting and advisory firm. This week, Crain’s Chicago Business ranked Grant Thornton at number eight on its annual Best Places to Work 2016 list. Crain’s cites “improvements” in the workplace, which opened in late 2015, including “better technology; advanced videoconferencing capabilities in meeting rooms; a relaxed dress code; and rooms for collaboration, like the Starbucks-inspired space with a fireplace, easy chairs and an espresso machine.”

VOA executed the global accounting firm’s vision for creating a ‘wow’ space for their employees and guests in the new Chicago headquarters with features such as a 30-foot atrium with interactive video walls. Our design reduced square footage per head, while boosting shared spaces for work and meetings with a conference center, work cafes and open team areas. Look for more in-depth design story on Grant Thornton on the VOA blog soon.
