IIDA Florida Central Awards 2015

VOA people and projects honored with three awards at IIDA Florida Central gala

VOA garnered three trophies at last week’s IIDA Florida Central Awards Gala. VOA’s design for First Green Bank received the Sustainability Award. The offices of Robins & Morton received the award for Corporate Small Project (under 10,000 SF) and VOA’s Elizabeth DeLaurentis, IIDA LEED AP was honored with the President’s Choice Award.

VOA’s Stephanie Moss, Joani Jordaan and Elizabeth DeLaurentis were on hand at the gala to accept the awards.

The IIDA CF’s Sustainability Award recognizes green design, its importance to the profession and the future of our planet’s resources. The judges said that “First Green Bank sets a standard in making sustainability the primary focus for creating an environment that is well designed and meets both the needs of its client and the future.”

The Corporate Small Project Award recognizes the challenges and opportunities of addressing a client’s needs within a small office space. The judges said that the Robins & Morton “project reflects a skillful balance of architectural line and articulation with interior scale, movement and flow.”

President of the IIDA CF Chapter Kristin Brown, IIDA presented Elizabeth DeLaurentis with the President’s Choice Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement by a member recipient. “Elizabeth Delaurentis has been instrumental in founding our chapter by helping with the transition of the Florida Chapter into three separate chapters. Since then, she has tirelessly worked to keep our chapter running as the first Chapter President and now dedicated committee member. Because of Elizabeth’s dedication, our chapter was founded and now continues to grow,” said Ms. Brown of Ms. DeLaurentis.
