Infor, the third largest business enterprise software company in the world, relocated its headquarters and customer sales center to New York in late 2012. VOA’s innovative workplace design attracted media coverage throughout 2013. Recently, Infor took the top spot in the Interior category at the 2013 National Design Awards (SARA). VOA designed the space to capture Infor’s forward-thinking workplace style, creating an office that fosters impromptu encounters through an open plan setting with ample teaming and collaborative areas. Even Infor CEO Charles Phillips works on a laptop at an open table.

Leonard M Cerame, AIA, IIDA Managing Principal, says, “The design of Infor’s new headquarters is an integral part of their corporate strategy, displaying the Infor brand and capturing the company’s forward-thinking workplace style. The goal was to create a workplace that fosters impromptu encounters through an open office setting while also providing ample collaborative spaces.”

Very impressive project. Vertical elements such as the grand stair and slab openings help link the spaces visually and functionally. The finish palette is progressive and energized. Nice job!
