Johnson Center in “Facility Executive” magazine

Higher education case study highlights the process behind this IPD, LEED project at North Park University.

The Nancy and G. Timothy Johnson Center for Science and Community Life at North Park University is featured in an article in the March issue of Facility Executive magazine which calls it the “capstone of twenty years of development” at the school.

The detailed feature article describes the collaborative design process between VOA and North Park which resulted in the design for the new building at the urban campus. The piece covers the state-of-the-art technology updates that make lecture capture possible, environmental features that enable the science building to obtain a LEED Gold certification and smart design decisions incorporated in the plan (placing chemistry classrooms at the top of the building, for example).The story also elaborates on the benefits IPD construction method that brought the Johnson Center to fruition.
