Take a walk through the new Airbus Group Experience Center

The aircraft and technology company’s D.C. experience center and government affairs/safety, technical & regulatory affairs office immerses visitors in the aircraft manufacturer’s products, places, and people

VOA, Now Stantec collaborated closely with brand experience design agency Hornall Anderson on the design of the new Airbus Group Experience Center. Just a few blocks from the U.S. Capitol, the 20,000 square foot space provides offices, conference rooms and support spaces for the Airbus Group team.

Airbus Group, best known for its popular commercial airplanes, was interested in showcasing its latest product offerings from across all three business lines to visiting decision-makers while  promoting its identity as an innovative technology company with research, engineering, training and manufacturing in the United States. It also needed a space for entertaining and hosting events. VOA saw an opportunity to integrate the firm’s greatest asset, its innovative people, by making the workplace itself a key part of the visitor experience. VOA came up with an unusual plan for the space which leads visitors on a hands-on, technologically advanced, interactive tour of people, products and ideas that make up Airbus Group.

The result is an architecturally integrated, flexible work-plus-showcase space which utilizes immersive projection technologies and interactive displays to appeal to multiple audience types – from customers to industry partners to Members of the U.S. Congress. The goal is to provide visitors with a new perspective on Airbus Group and a deeper appreciation and understanding of its role as a leader shaping the future of aerospace and global travel.
