A two-story, 45,000 square foot new office building allows CareFirst to consolidate and expand its Large Group Administrative Service Unit (ASU) operations in Cumberland, Maryland. Previously, associates were spread throughout Cumberland in three separate offices due to a lack of space. The facility includes more than 200 workstations, a large lunchroom with patio and outdoor seating, a large, paved parking lot, a geothermal heating/cooling system, a wellness room, two training rooms and two multi-purpose rooms, and room for future expansion.
