Details:
VOA provided architecture, interior design and sustainable design services for the new $57M barracks that houses single soldiers at Fort Riley, Kansas. The project is comprised of five 57,108 SF barracks with 390 (1+1) modules distributed throughout with supporting facilities, and accommodates 780 people at Camp Whitside. The exterior architectural style, materials and colors are in response to the limestone exterior of the historical Territorial Capital Building at Fort Riley.
