Details:

This new community college campus is composed of six two-story masonry buildings positioned around a landscaped quadrangle.  In addition to traditional academic classrooms, labs and vocational education facilities, the campus is also home to the Washburne Culinary Institute and WYCC Channel 20, the television station of the City Colleges of Chicago.


In collaboration with Johnson & Lee - Kennedy King Architects LLC.

Working with our partners at Johnson and Lee and with the City Colleges of Chicago, this project delivered a broad range of academic and student life facilities of high quality to an underserved population. By reintroducing the street grid and planning a campus of several inviting buildings, the new Kennedy-King College renewed this district’s status as a destination.
