Grisko, an integrated communications company, needed a space to support its expanding team and widening range of client services. The privately-held company looked to VOA as its design partner in its relocation to the historic Wrigley Building, a bold move to set the firm’s future course.

The design takes advantage of the historic space incorporating the original ceilings and historic details while contrasting them with a new architectural layout and modern finishes.  The built elements are largely located inboard allowing this workplace to bask in generous amounts of natural daylight while offering dramatic views of Chicago’s iconic downtown.

VOA’s design incorporates multiple, diverse workplace settings, each appropriate for a job function. The open environment provides spaces for both open and enclosed collaboration. A multifunctional café can be used for informal meetings during the day or client events at night.

This project is about visual communication. Our design for Grisko created a brand new and unique working environment that explodes with energy and color. The workplace design is structured around the theory of a square as a frame for colors, objects and space; as expressed in the offices with no fronts.
