Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 2002 Master Plan is a continuation and reinforcement of work that was initiated in 1978, when VOA prepared a master plan report that led to the construction of a new laboratory building and administrative offices, the renovation of existing classroom facilities, and identified the need for future residence halls, an athletic facility, and a performing arts center.

An update of the Master Plan documented the expansion of the student union, construction of a projects laboratory building and additional classroom space, and additional campus housing.

The 2002 master plan is the result of the thoughts and ideas brought forward by students, faculty, and administrators during a series of discussions and interviews.  It is truly a reflection of Rose-Hulman’s commitment to a “Vision to be the Best.”

The architectural vocabulary honors historic buildings and student/alumni/faculty experiences and embraces the natural environment as a setting for scholarship and research.  The contemporary setting expresses the personality of this top private engineering school.
