The Woodley

VOA designed the residential unit plans and interior architecture for The Woodley, a new 212-unit luxury apartment building in Washington, D.C.’s Woodley Park neighborhood. VOA worked in partnership with David M. Schwarz Architects, which served as exterior design architect, and architect-of-record Cooper Carry. These well-appointed apartments combine modern amenities and graciously scaled rooms with the highest level of finishes, setting a new standard of design and material quality for discerning Washington, D.C. residents.  VOA’s design of the dwelling units and public spaces complements the rich expression of the exterior through the use of wood, stone, fabric and color.

Collaboration was key on this project where the client assembled their dream team of three architecture firms to create a building that would set a new bar for luxury rental living in the DC area. VOA’s Chicago and DC offices worked together effectively on this project to provide interior design of the apartments as well as the programming and space planning for the entire building.
